Location and Population
Al-Madinah is located in the center of urban Los Angeles. Many of our students are from low-income families from the surrounding community. We take pride in knowing that over the years, our student body has represented dozens of nationalities from a host of countries including Mexico, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Ethiopia, Egypt, Palestine, Morocco, Algeria, Gambia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Palestine, Bangladesh, Sweden, Bahrain, Kuwait, Eretria, Jordan, Belize, Pakistan, and the Bahamas.
Service
As the principal of Al-Madinah School for over 20 years, I thank Allah for blessing our school with dedicated and loyal teachers and staff, some of which have given their services, often without pay, for over fifteen, twenty and even twenty-five years. What’s more, many of our newer staff members were formerly students themselves and have now returned to give back what they received---quality academic and Islamic education. We aren’t simply a team of educators . . . we are a family of nurturers.
Mission and Vision
At Al-Madinah School, our mission is to provide opportunities for our students to achieve their highest potential academically and islamically, enabling them to become righteous leaders of tomorrow and successful believers in the hereafter.
Academic
Al-Madinah School follows state curriculum goals. Our complete curriculum includes reading, language arts, science, Quran, Islamic studies and Arabic.
Alumni
Al-Madinah School is thankful to Allah and proud of its long tradition of education. We are proud to have produced a solid foundation for our students who have now become hafiz Quran, doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers and a host of other professionals.
